I have a DNN 7.05 site that I recently upgraded.  Documents 5.0.0 (which has been working flawlessly) now crashes the site when a user tries to download a document.  No errors in the event log, just an option to return to the site.

I've been searching for something to start with, however nothing has turned up.  Has anyone else seen this?

Dave,

It is possible that it is related to LInkCick.aspx and the associated handler.

Can you test using an HTML mdoule add a link and check the box for "Track Clicks" and see if that works?

Mitchel,

you are correct. It does error out when the link is clicked in the HTML module. I will search for that issue, however if you have a solution close at hand, that would be very helpful :)

I'm hoping to revisit this as it is happening on several sites now with the Linkclick handler. I've upgraded one of the sites to 7.1.2 and it's still happening.

Anyone have something i can check out?

Turns out that the following was missing from the Handlers section of my web.config file:

add name="LinkClickHandler" path="LinkClick.aspx" verb="*" type="DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileServerHandler, DotNetNuke" PreCondition="integratedMode" />

I added that and voila! all worked :)
