I am running 7.05 and have a question about Page Management.  I have never really used it much before as I am a relative newbie starting with 6 something.  My question is are you supposed to be able to do anything in page Management or is it just to show what exists?  I have tried changing permissions for pages in there because it is much easier than going to the individual pages but the changes don't stick.  Same thing with changing the name of a page.  I just tried that and it won't stick.  I had to go to more settings to do it since the page was disabled and I couldn't open the page to get to page settings from the page.  Is this functioning correctly?  Thanks

Hello,

I would guess that the reason things aren't saving is that you aren't hitting "update" at the bottom of the page... That's surprisingly easy to overlook. But, page management is a very helpful tool.

Hi
Page management is there to manage all the pages at a single place. Lots of options are there which you can use.
And for your query if you make any page disabled in more settings, then it cannot be clicked in any navigation menu. This option is used only to provide place-holders for child menu items.

Thanks,

I think it can be very handy as well but it won't save changes. I tested again yesterday, changed permissions on a page, hit save or update whatever it says went back in and the changes were not there. Am I the only one having this problem?

Hi John,

Yeah - I haven't run into anything like that... I have trouble thinking of a reason why that would happen. Here might be a few things to try to help sort it out:

-See if it happens on all pages or just one
-See if you can change page titles - or other things beyond permissions and have them save
-Try editing the page by going to its "Page Settings" on the page itself and see if they save there

Information on that might help narrow the problem for folks here.
