Hi everybody and thanks for taking the time to read. I wanted to see if there was anyway to add a sql select statement to the Newsletter module. I have the select statement written already and It reads like this:

SELECT
u.Email+';'
FROM
dbo.udf_UserProfileField('Volunteer') AS Volunteer

left OUTER JOIN dbo.vw_Users AS U ON Volunteer.PortalId = U.PortalId AND Volunteer.UserID = U.UserId where propertyvalue='true'

This  creates a list of emails separated by a ;  of users who have checked the box Volunteer in their profile.

you may execute the statement in Host > SQL and copy/paste the result into the "additional email addresses" text box in Newsletter module.
Another option would be assigning users to a specific users role via Host > SQL before sending the newsletter to this group/role.

Cheers from Germany,
