Without knowledge of your costum solution structure, I recommand, create your dnn instance and install needed modules and then copy and past your Content into the modules of new created pages in DNN.

Hi there,

After installing your DNN instance, I think it's wise to read about skinning first. Here's is a video from Chris Hammond on the subject:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/V...

To learn about skinning, it may be helpfull to use an existing skin (portals/_default/skins) and start tweeking.

  1. Copy a folder to a new instance under the same folder (portals/_default/skins).
  2. Select your newly created skin in page settings (or admin/site settings)
  3. Start tweeking and watch the results.

To start a new skin from scratch, create a new .ascx file in your folder. Make shure there is at least one <div id=contentPane"" runat="server"></div>. DNN needs this as the default container.

When things start to make sense, take a look at the portals/_default/containers folder and see if you understand what's happening there.

Good Luck!

Stefan
