Hello and Thank you for your reply in advance,

I have been trying to implement a class in DNN that can access the TabModuleSettings.  So far I have not been successful.  Was wondering if anyone else ever had this problem.

I can access the Tabmodule Setting in my code behind no problem - but I have tried implementing portalmodulebase with no success in my class.  I have also tried to instantiate a new modulecontroller and use its methods also - like getTabmodulesettings.

public class MaintenanceController : ATI_VehicleManager2ModuleBase
    {

        public MaintenanceController()
        {
            ModuleController _Controller = new ModuleController();
            Hashtable Settings2 = _Controller.GetTabModuleSettings(this.TabModuleId);
        }

Please help - and thank you again for your reply

the problem is that the separate class is not aware that it's working in a webpage (i.e. a httpcontext). As there is no httpcontext, there is no activetab and hence no tabmoduleid i.e. it does not know what module on what page needs results. Typically you just add a parameter to your method for the relevant values tabmoduleid and pass that value in from your codebehind (which is of course aware of the executing webpage)
