good night
I have a problem trying to update the data of a user.

The error I get is as follows:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
    in DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.AspNetMembershipProvider.UpdateUserMembership (UserInfo user)
    in DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.AspNetMembershipProvider.UpdateUser (UserInfo user)
    in DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.UpdateUser (Int32 PortalID, UserInfo user, Boolean loggedAction)
    in DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.UpdateUser (Int32 PortalID, UserInfo user)
    in classCrearUsuarioDnn.UpdateUser (idPortal Int32, Int32 userId) in c: \ inetpub \ wwwroot \ dnn_625 \ Website \ App_Code \ classCrearUsuarioDnn.vb: line 166
    in Magallanes.Corredores.AgregarEjecutivo.btnGuardar_Click (Object sender, EventArgs e) in 67

The code where I get the error is:
         ObjUsers Dim As New DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController
         Dim objUser As New DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserInfo

         ObjUser = objUsers.GetUser (idPortal, userid)

         ObjUser.FirstName = FirstName
         ObjUser.LastName = LastName
         ObjUser.Email = EMail
         ObjUser.DisplayName = DisplayName

             DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.UpdateUser (idPortal, objUser)

most likely, there is an issue within the data of an user or one of the DNN upgrades did not perform correctly (check out log files in /providers/dataproviders/sqldataprovider folder).

Thanks for responding.
Download the latest version from the website (not an upgrade).

What may be happening that the code does not work?

When I try to upgrade from dnn user I have problems, I get the following error: This website requires a unique email address for each user. The email address you entered is already in use. But you do not have problems with e fact that e is unique, then it is because I get this error.
