Hello,
I noticed that in v7, if you programmatically create a propertr (for example: l_DNN_User.Profile.PreferredLocale = PortalSettings.DefaultLanguage or l_DNN_User.Profile.Telephone = "1111") it will be stored in UserProfile table the ProfilePropertyDefinition with PortalID = null.

It makes the property to not been shown in user profile page. In this page you can show only property which definition has PortaID=current portal id.

In v6, when you tried to valorize a property, it was added the correct ProfilePropertyDefinition: the one that has PortalID = current portal id

This is the "telephone" property records in ProfilePropertyDefinition table. When I add l_DNN_User.Profile.Telephone, it will be added PropertyDefinitionID = 12 and not PropertyDefinitionID =33 (for portalid=0)

PropertyDefinitionID PortalID PropertyName
12 NULL Telephone
33 0 Telephone
76 2 Telephone
118 4 Telephone

Thanks
Fabio

Sorry, but I did not use User.Profile.InitialiseProfile(Me.PortalSettings.PortalId). In v6 it was not necessary.

 Thanks anyway
