Ohh, finally!!!

Finally I find people having the same issues I have, I don't know what's wrong, I think it is the 64-bit version of the framework. I have the same problem with the login and also when I try to acces to the Admin-> Authentication page, and yes, sometimes even the appPool crashes.

I also go the hotfix but that one is only for the x86 version. We need somebody here to try to solve this, I'm not sure if it is dnn's or framework's fault.

My set up is  Windows Server Enterprise x64 edition,  Sql server 2005 Standard, .net framework 2.0.50727.

I'm running x64 and ran into issues, too. Ultimately, I set IIS to run in 32-bit compatibility mode and that has been trouble-free.  Also, I have the database on a separate machine, with sql2005, and it's 64-bit all the way.

How did you set IIS to run in 32-bit mode?

I tried the other day but messed up the iis manager.

This is a good article for step-by-step instructions on how to do it:

Bear in mind that the article is slightly dated; you'll probably have to do one thing differently.  When it refers to v2.0.40607 you'll need to substitute the current version 2 directory which is now v2.0.50727.

That KB article is better than the technet document I had found before, I just applied and the things that failed before now work fine.

So, it is a problem with the x64 version of the Framework. Thanks again.
