Hi there,

I recently completed a testimonials module for a client project and I decided to release the module back to the community on CodePlex ( http://dnntestimonials.codeplex.com ). It would be great to get some feedback. I've got some ideas already about the roadmap, but my perspective is limited so it would be great to hear community ideas. This module allows users to display testimonials as well as gather testimonials from users based on the module preferences and permissions. DNN has been a great community and I hope this can be valuable to its members.

Thanks for checking it out! :-)

The module is great but does not work on my website DNN 7.0.4.

Add testimonial does nothing.

Thanks so much for the reply! I suppose this is where some documentation comes in handy! I'll work on that. In the meantime, the module works like this: Once a testimonial is added, it won't automatically display on the site. The administrator (or whoever is given permission) must approve it. This way if someone writes something spammy or worse, you have control over it. So, once you put your page in Edit Mode, you can click on the pencil (edit) icon and go to "Manage Testimonials". You will see Unpublished and  Published tabs. On the Unpublished tabs, you can choose to publish any testimonials that have been added. Once published, they will begin displaying on the site. On the Published tabs, you can unpublish a testimonial and it will stop displaying on the site and go back into the unpublished queue. I know there are some features like editing a testimonial that would be nice to have, but they weren't part of the initial scope. Feel free to leave some comments in the discussion area on the CodePlex project and I will work on getting those features added. Most important is to just contribute something useful, so if you can find uses for it and need some more features, just let me know! Thanks so much for checking it out. Let me know any other questions you may have to. That will help me to build the documentation to make it more user friendly!

I just created some documentation and posted it here: https://dnntestimonials.codeplex.com/documentation. It discusses the Content Management, Module Settings, Module Permissions and Supported features such as Integrated Search, Import and Export. Hope it helps. If you have ANY questions, just let me know and I'll be happy to add any additional information. Thanks!
