Hello
I have a new install of 7.1.2 and filemanager does not work (is empty) even if

- I enable popups in site settings
- The skin is the default (host gravity 2 col)
- I use previous hosted jquery: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.0/jquery.min.js and http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.0/jquery-ui.min.js

any ideas?
Thanks

DNN 7.1 and above Comes with Major code changes and the new jQuery and jQueryUI Versions, don't use hosted libirys and use the jQuery Versions, that shipped with DNN!

So I should install an old version of jQuery? How can I do this?

Thanks

And when you try to 'Sync this folder & subfolders'?

Does it show an error in the eventlog?

Sorry, I have seen a little triangle next to refresh button. Clicking on it, it simply does nothing: a postback without no errors or success sync taks in event log...

eclipse79,

I have seen this type of behavior when all of the first level folders do not have view permissions assigned. I would attempt to grand view level permissions to them and the root folder as well if it can be done. As for how to do that, perhaps others here can help. I believe it could be done with SQL if you look up or construct the script. I would attempt to install the old file manager as described earlier in the thread and use it to view and change the permissions if you can. At the least, you will have a working file manager.

I don't like the popups either.

Mark, adding the previous filemanager it works. Folder permission in root folder for "Open Files in Folder"  is set for All users, so I think it is not a permission issue. I tried to open new filemanager in ie, with the debug ON and I got a lot of errors:

row 1: sys not defined
row 478: sys not defined
row 4080: sys not defined
row 4: $find not defined
row 1022: unable to retrieve init property
row 17: object does not support endsWith property
row 1294: telerik not defined
row 1332: sys not defined
row 941: unable to retrieve setCookie
row 1: unable to retrieve attachEvent

so it is obviously a javascript issue.

In any case what I don't understand is:

  1. This is a new install of 7.1.2, so if jQuery engine is not compatible with new filemanager, it should be a common issue of all 7.1.2 users...
  2. Before 7.1.2 installation, I tried 7.1.1 (I'm using a trial of powerdnn host and it was the default instance). In that case I didn't get any error. Then I removed the instance and installed a new one (without upgrading).

I am very confused, I would like to use new filemanager....
