Does anyone know how to stop the HTML editor from randomly applying inline styles to the content? We are using 7.1 and have found that when pasting plain text into the editor then formatting it out into paragraphs the editor is inserting unwanted span tags with inline styles as arial, 12px for example:

<span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span>

I can't see how to prevent this in HTML editor options but it's making managing the site difficult as we have to constantly go back in and use the strip all span tags function. The styles are also being applied to <strong> tags.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Is there no fix for this? It's making content editing a real pain when you save you content and then have to go back in and edit the code to strip out all the randomly applied inline styles.

You have to find out the CssClass using a developer tool on any browser and add the !important attritbut to override it in your Skin.css file.
