I added some profile fields but have since deleted them and the columns still exist in the database. How do I remove them?

When I use

SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}ProfilePropertyDefinition]

the items still show up with a check in the Deleted column. Can/Should they be removed?

Thank you

please execute in Host > SQL the following script

DELETE FROM {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}userprofile] WHERE PropertyDefinitionID IN (SELECT PropertyDefinitionID FROM {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}ProfilePropertyDefinition] WHERE deleted = 1)

DELETE FROM {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}ProfilePropertyDefinition] WHERE deleted = 1

Thank you.

I ran them both and the unused items were removed.

Can I ask why you gave me two SQL scripts to execute. What does each one actually do?

the first statement removes all user values for deleted properties while the second removes deleted property definitions.
