The Problem is, if you have all pages only availible for authenticated users, those users will get those Errors after they logoff and still stay on the same page, about they have no Access and are annonymous users after logoff.  So you have to Redirect after logoff to a page that unauthenticated users can Access.

I should also specially address the statement above that I underlined:  this is not the case - the LOGIN page is available for unauthenticated users - and is the defined redirect page when one logs off.

Really would like to get this sorted out this weekend as the site is suppose to go live by Monday!

Thanks for you support!

Hi Rob,

all files are located in the bin Folder!  If you still on 7.1.0 I would try to install 7.1.1 and look if it is already fixed there.  I am not sure if this is a known issue on 7.1.0, but would give them a try.   Redirection to the UserLogin Page worked on my DNN 7.1.1 instances.

OK... got it!  So in the bin folder:  what file and how do I check the version?

Updating:  I have seen many comments about sites going completely down after 7.1.1 was installed ...and my host does not support the updates, and will not take responsibility.  So unless I get a confirmation that this is a "known problem" with 7.1.0, I won't do it "just to see what happens".

Matthias, after reviewing my notes above, you make no comment on the actual configuration - does it seem that it is correctly configured to you?  (I'd like to at least eliminate the possibility that I did something wrong!)

Thanks again for your support...

Rob

 Hi Rob,

right click on the DotNetNuke.dll file and check the advanced properties, you will found the version no. of this file.

Log Out configuration should be go to your custom Login page (check the site name of it).  This page must have read permission for unauthenticated users.

Of course kind of condition could make some issues on upgrading of an application.  It is not possible to check all conditions who are availible on QA, Check will go on a clean Server.    The most problems I have sean are in configuration and on not following the upgrade path (see wiki)!

Hi Matthias,

This is a hosted site - I don't have access to files locally - so there is no "right-click".  I have FTP access only.

Based on your descriptions then my configuration is correct.  I guess very few people are using DNN 7 - or this surely would have turned up...

As far as updates go... the hosting company reluctance to do DNN upgrades seem to be an indicator on relative DNN stability.  These guys (Arvixe) don't even want to install modules!

Another thought... I noticed on the forums here, that a version of 7 did not ship with the Account Login module *at all*.  Is this an indicator that there was something wrong with it and it was delayed for bug fixes?
