Hi!

I'm having a problem with integrating my module with DNN 7.1 search. I am using the ModuleSearchBase and overriding the GetModifiedSearchDocuments method.

I am able to trigger the search crawler indexing through the Scheduler, it does get to my search feature controller class and correctly goes through the code there and returns a list of SearchDocuments.

However, when I try searching for one of the items, it is never displayed in the results. I even used advanced search and un-selected everything by my module. I'm not sure why it's not displaying my search items in the results, especially since it goes through the code correctly and returns a number of SearchDocument items in the list.

Anyone encountered this before?

Thanks!!

Martin

can you check under the scheduled task in host->scheduled tasks and ensure it is indexing your content. Also, you can use luke (http://code.google.com/p/luke/) to inspect the lucene index (point it at App_Data\Search ) to see if your content is correctly indexed

I checked the schedule history. I even ran the schedule while in debug mode and was able to step through the code correctly.  It correctly returned number of SearchDocuments.

I'll check out the Luke tool to see if that will give any indication why it's not showing up.

Thanks!

Hi
Under Host -> Extension , edit your custom module and check whether it is connected with your FeatureController file.
It should show IsSearchable check box as checked.

Thanks
