I moved my site and database to a new server and now the search indexing is not working . I checked the 'view schedule history' option on the schedule page under the host menu and there is a error:

Search: Site Crawler Starting. Content change start time 10/1/2013 2:26 PM
EXCEPTION: Could not find file 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\MySite\App_Data\Search\segments_4r6

I looked for this file 'segments_4r6' on the original folder of the site but this file doesn't exist. Everything else is working pretty fine, except for the search indexing.

 I am using dnn 7.1.1

if you are on DNN 7.1 and above, you might need to adjust site search settings in admin menu

Thank you for the reply.

I looked through all the tabs under the admin menu but couldn't figure out what 'site search settings' you were talking about.

Can you please describe little more about this.

You are better off deleting all files under Website\App_Data\Search folder and doing Reindex (Admin > Search Admin > Re-Index, Host > Settings > Search > Re-Index, Host > Schedule > Run Now. You may need to do IISRESET if some of the above files are locked.
