Hello,

I need some information about the upgrade path from DNN Platform to Evoq Content.

Is it possible? Is a simple process or does it needs to follow special steps?

Thanks in advance,

Degree of difficulty mostly depends upon how many 3rd party modules you have on your site, custom code and data set.

You should upgrade from your current Platform version to the same Content version
After you have the new Content site running you can then, if you wish, upgrade to newer versions of Content

Example..
Content 7.0 to Platform 7.0
Platform 7.0 to Platform 7.0.2

The recommended upgrade routine is to... :

1. Back up your current site, web files and database
2. Clone you site to a staging server or other non-production environment
3. Upgrade from Content to Platform
4. Verify the functionality of the new site
5. Once satisfied all is good take another backup - If you're intending to upgrade to newer release of Content do it now, re-verify the functionality, and backup the site...
6. Take your live site offline, restore your site with the backup from Step 5

Thank you for your answer,

you mention "3d party modules" in your answer, does exists a list with the known "3d party modules" incompatibility with Evoq content?

there is an small issue in Ken's reply: you may upgrade from DNN Platform to evoq Content, but not the other way (there is no downgrade option).
