On the host settings I have:
Installed jQuery Version: 1.9.1
Installed jQuery UI Version 1.10.3

I have also tried the hosted jQuery with:
http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/...
http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/...

Not luck with either.  Could the problem be with dnn.dropdownlist.js (which I have the latest version installed).  This is where the error message crops up.

It could happend if the upgrade package was not fully extract, about the package wasn't unpack after download on the advanced file Settings, or you haven't write permissions to the files Folder.  Check if the file is on same Version as your dnn instance using advanced Settings of the file.

Other issue could be a Skin or module using it's own jQuery library and ist an old one.  Also overriding Settings on the Skin using JavaScript can cause this issue.  If a Skin or module use JavaScript using the jQuery or jQueryUI library check the changes on the jQuery Migration guide and modify the code.

I've checked several files and everything seem ok (version and access). Is there any particular files I should be paying attention to.

I have also tried the RibbonBar and that still works. As a temporary measure I can use that to install existing modules.

So you use the controlbar or Iconbar as Default ?  I would also check the files and controls of them if they upgraded correctly.  Personaly I am usinig the CONTROLBAR without any issues on 7.1.2 instances.

Thanks for all your help and input Matthias.

I've been checking again and everything seems to have updated correctly. Maybe I will just wait till the next DNN release and hope that upgrading to that will resolve the issue. Or maybe the solution will present itself sooner or later.
