Hello,

I can not get DNN3 to migrate to DNN 4. I am told that ASP.NET is horsed up because I had a beta 2.01xx installed. I cleaned out the registry and erased the beta stuff. Everything looks okay on the surface and I can run my DNN 2.2 site with ether ASP 2. or 1.4 and it works fine BUT I can not upgrade my DNN3 to DNN4 without this error:

Exception Details: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

Help! Can I pay someone to fix this form me? thomas.x.mahoney@healthnet.com

FIXED IT!
This problem is caused from having non compatable DLL's in the DNN Bin fold. EVEN IF YOU ARE NOW USING ANY OF THESE DLL's, JUST HAVING THEM IN AND FOLDER WILL CASUE THIS ERROR>
Solution:

Sort by date and copy out all those files from 2005. Everything will work. Then copy back the removed DLL's one at a time until you see teh error again. The file that caused the problem is not upwardly compantable with ASP.NER 2.XX so it it must be replaced with a newer version from the provider. In my case it was a DLL I did not use anyway.
