I found in another forum that they have finally enforced the SQL2008 requirment... I'm still running SQL2005. Which I will need to update. However, I don't think this issue is connected to that.

You have to upgrade to Windows Server 2008 SP2 and SQL Server 2008 or higer first. Reswtore old database on the new Server, add the Login Name 'sa' to the dbo database user using SQL Management Studio and the sp_update_User_Login procedure on a Query. Restore files from backup. Check if old site works as aspected, if yes start upgrade from scatch.

I would just like to get some clarification before I move forward....
I am currently running MSSQL Server 2005 on a Windows 2003 Server. My host had suggested updating the DB to MSSQL 2008, but it seems from the previous post that I also need to upgrade the OS as well. Is this correct?
I've also been given the option of upgrading to Windows Server 2012 with a MSSQL Server 2012. I don't want to waste time on a DB upgrade if that wont fix my problem. Thanks.
