One instance, many sites...

Login box comes up almost totally blank.  One site had a login on the main page; it is now 'invisible'.

Only change made in last day was enabled Google and Bing Webmaster tools; neither involved a change to the site(s)

Are you able to place "&ctl=login" after the URL or /login.aspx after the URL and get the login to show?

I was not smart enough to try either before I needed to restore from backup and move on.  The site is currently back fully.  I restored the db to a working DNN instance [7.0.6] in a test-bed and login worked, so I then overwrote the 'faulty' instance with the new instance and then tweaked it back to full working order [images, icons, files, logos, etc. for all portals].

DNN would be a lot easier to restore from a crash if core files were separate from the 'value added/user' files...  :)

I saved the faulty instance so I can play; it was almost like the 'login script' was just not there...

Thanks for the reply.

Where might one find the login.aspx file and/or the scripts may use.  I found a lot of 'login.*' files in the folders but no login.aspx. [in the working instance...  :) ]

Have you checked YOURSITEROOTFOLDER\DesktopModules\Admin\Authentication .. ?

I would add though, that modifying any of these files could potentially cause issues so if you do opt to modify these please create a copy before you do so that you can revert back. We typically don't recommend modifying the core code of the platform.
