A. On new install DNN of 07.01.02

“Anecdotal reports suggest changing urlFormat="advanced" to urlFormat="humanfriendly" resolves some problems” from ://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releases/view/112531  solved the 404 error during startup then later changed back.

B. Now at stopping point as not able to add modules.

In DotNetNuke_7_0_6_Super_User_Manual                  search for below heading

Option Two - Insert Module

1.     On the Control Bar, hover over the Modules drop down menu and then select Add Existing Module.

This will load and display a list of the modules within the Common category, or the previously

selected category.

<< In a new page Add Existing Module get a blank popup screen (top has site name and Logon) without any modules to add

Looks as a configuration issue.  Check your file permissions for iUser (annonymous) and application pool user.  Check your IIS Settings and .Net Settings.  Check database compatibility Level.  Be sure install didn't reported Errors !
