I have been away from Dotnetnuke for a couple of years. I have used it since 2003. Lots of changes going on. It took me a ton of work to manually install the latest 7xx version. Now that I have it running, I keep being prompted for authentication when I try to add a module or use certain other tools. I am the super user and the only user on the site so far and can log into the site, just not use certain parts of. When I enter my credentials, it just keeps asking for them over and over. the asp.net client has full permissions of every sort. I have been looking around for two days for an answer to this problem. Anyone got any suggestions?

Hello Beth, welcome back. We've had quite a lot of change recently with new pre-requisities (.net 4 and sql 2008), as well as deprecating support for old items (i.e. we no longer support IIS6). Most of the issues we've seen similar to what you describe have been related to those items (i.e. someone using IIS6 on windows XP etc.), but we have a wiki page with a few options on it - I suggest trying the "missing Microsoft patch" link first as that's the most common cause - http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/Page/Problems-with-edit-mode
