Hi everyone Once every now and again (every 1-2 months) I get the below listed errors untill the server is reset it also takes down every other site on the server. any insite would be helpful.

About your last error message you posted, it Looks as a try to inject any code into your site.  So it Looks to me as an attack against your Server.  You are still using a old DNN Version, that is sunsetted since long time ago.  I suggest to though about a upgrade to a newer Version 6.2.9 or 7.1.2!

timeout issues are caused by performance of your database. make sure, there are not too many items in eventlog (not more than a few hundred) and size of transaction log does not exceed about 10% of database size and database files should be filled more than 50 %. if this is all true, you might need to reorganize indexes.

Thanks so much for the replies. I'm trying to get it figured out before we move the website. When We do I can try the rest of Sebastian Leupold's post if necessary.

@ Matthias Schlomann I think you may be right but am unsure as I tried to login as the site crashed. But after checking through the logs I saw that an ip address (have seen it before 188.143.232.31) was trying random login names as soon as the server was reset. I read up on the ip before and it is a hacking bot out of Russia. as a precautionary measure I used some info that I fond from Mitchel Sellers (http://mitchelsellers.com/blogs/2007/07/23/using-dotnetnuke-request-filter.aspx) and set that ip address up the request filter.... Anyone know of a good website that I can redirect them too that will overwork their server to crash theirs?

@Sebastian Leupold Thank you again for the great advice, you always come through. I cleared the log history as recommended. when the site gets put on the new server (hopefully soon) I will reorganize the indexes if it happens again
