I had no issues editing permissions in DNN 7 using IE10/11 and latest FF. There might be an ASP.Net update missing on the web server or a wrong version of jQuery be referenced in Host Settings.

Sebastian,

Again, thank you for your reply.  It looks like it was a JQuery issue.  I replaced the referenced hosted jquery strings with the latest version of jquery hosted on google to point now to the 1.10.2 version of jQuery: , and bingo, the permissions box started working immediatly.

I think the issue lies in the fact that an out of the box install of DNN auto-references a much older release of hosted jQuery (1.7.2) on the google CDN.

Perhaps somehow a recommendation should be made to update the installer to point to the more recent version of the jQuery components?

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.10.3/jquery-ui.min.js

I just replaced the setting under Host Settings > Advanced Settings: JQuery Settings  and pointed the hosted jQuery and jQuery UI url to those above.

Is there a way to recommend this update?  Should it be a reported item on support.dotnetnukesoftware.com?

Make it a Great Day!

Dustin

if you are using hosted jQuery/jQuery UI, you need to take care to modify it yourself during an upgrade. I would love, if there was a variable to include for using same version as distributed with DNN.
