Our DNN website menu is not displaying properly in IE11.
Every menu option is displayed in 1 long vertical list (screenshot here).
http://www.sypensions.org.uk/webCompo...

We are using a skin from DNN Graphics called PioneerSkin (a few years old now).

It has previously been working fine in all other browsers.

The code which calls the menu looks like this:

<dnn:NAV runat="server" id="dnnNAV"  ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" IndicateChildren="false" ControlOrientation="Horizontal" CSSNodeRoot="main_dnnmenu_rootitem" CSSNodeHoverRoot="main_dnnmenu_rootitem_hover" CSSNodeSelectedRoot="main_dnnmenu_rootitem_selected" CSSBreadCrumbRoot="main_dnnmenu_rootitem_selected" CSSContainerSub="main_dnnmenu_submenu" CSSNodeHoverSub="main_dnnmenu_itemhover" CSSNodeSelectedSub="main_dnnmenu_itemselected" CSSContainerRoot="main_dnnmenu_container" CSSControl="main_dnnmenu_bar" CSSBreak="main_dnnmenu_break" SeparatorLeftHTML="<img class=&quot;LeftSep&quot; src=&quot;images/menu_div.gif&quot;>" />

We are using dotnetnuke 5.1.1 (and unable to upgrade for a variety of reasons - too complicated to mention).
Any ideas how to get around this problem (without updating DNN)?

- if only a temporary solution (until we upgrade the skin).

thanks.

IE 11 does not expose itself as IE, therefore there might be display issues with old components and extensions.
I suggest upgrading DNN to latest version and update the skin applied as well.

thanks,

but we are unable to upgrade for technical issues.

I have since downloaded the DDR Menu for DNN 5.1

as explained here:

http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/Page/...
( I was told that this should fix the issue).

Whilst our new menu looks ok when logged in to the CMS (as an administrator), when we log out - it then becomes corrupt again - and shows every menu entry in one long list.

Mark,

Visitors to the site might need to activate Compatibility View for that site. While MS had a tag that would force Compability View for newer versions of IE, the tag has no effect when using IE 11.

Just checked and if a visitor turns on Compatibility View, it renders fine.
