OK My DNN 7.1.2 had the latest version of Module Creator (1.1.0) from here that has been available from 23 October 2012.
Now DNN Corp have integrated the Module into DNN Platform a few days ago, they have used or at least numbered numbered it as Version 1.0.0 !?!? which won't install over 1.1.0. Can't DNN Corp. do anything right?
Begs the question as to whether I can AGAIN download Module Creator 1.1.0 and put that over the DNN Corps 1.0.0.

It would also help if the installer gave a few more clues as to what actually goes wrong in an install instead of "Error!". Means nothing. The actual information is hidden in a resource file in the depths of the folder structure!
Anyway, Richard, you pointed me in the right direction, Thank You.

Kind of you - but TBH it was pure luck. Never used Module Creator.

I agree about the USELESS Red "Error" on an upgrade.

Best wishes,
