Hi Everybody.

In my site, i have an online catalogue built with XMOD PRO

I have enabled XMOD PRO DNN Search Integration so the product are shown in DNN Search.

Now the problem is that i have used URL-ADAPTER to rewrite url to have url like /Products/Category/ProductName and in the search engine of DNN the results are like /details?ProductId=1234.

My SEO consultant tell us that this is not good for SEO because of duplicate content.

Someone can help me resolve this issue?

Thanks

Alessandro.

I have another Question,

In the sitemap page of DNN there is no reference to the products shown in the catalog.

There is a possibility to integrate the DNN sitemap with the page generated from XMOD Module ?

Thanks

Alessandro

You would need to talk to the developers of your modules about this.

With regard to the sitemap ... The custom module would need to create a custom sitemap provider to register it's querystring urls - they come from your module not from dnn ... Dnn itself doesn't know anything about what a query looks like for your module to select a catalog entry ... It's up to your module to tell dnn what it needs to know.

With regard to search results ... Dnn displays search results based on how modules register themselves with the dnn search engine. The dnn search engine knows nothing about your custom remapped urls ... And for that matter neither does xmod. So all dnn knows about is the urls that xmod told it to index ... It has no way to actually know about remapped urls.

While everything to everyone modules are a cool idea ... You often reach a point where coding modules yourself is best way to get exactly what you need ... In this case ... You might be reaching that sort of limit.
