Like an idiot, I changed the location of LogIn under Site Administration to a page without the LogIn module on it.

I have found a post that directs me to editing the Database "portals" table and reseting the LoginTabId to null.

My only problem is that my hosting package from Pipex does not give me direct access to the Database. (I think Pipex people will make the change of my behalf, but it's been two and a half days now!)

Hopefully I have learned from my mistake - bu just in case - my question is - is there another way to put right my stupidity, which does not involve access to the database?

An update on my previous post -

The Pipex ProdDev team have now had another 5 days and still not managed to correct my error through accessing the database.

In the meantime, my previous post has been getting a lot of views which suggests that it is an issue that others want information on too. Maybe I'm not the only idiot in this world!

....but no-one has suggested an alternative way round.

Does that mean I'm completely stuck?

I got fed up waiting for Pipex to help.

I have spent the last few hours trawling through the posts on the forum (The search facility is good but you have to make some inteliigent guesses about search strings- and if I was inteligent I would not be in this mess!)

But I have found the solution - John Mitchell Blog contains the answer .... and it works.
