typically at this point I suggest removing DNN from the equation (in case of some odd error such as a zip file that was not unblocked, or files missed when Ftp'ing). Copy the files elsewhere, and then delete all the files in the folder and create a file called default.aspx. Edit it in notepage and add this line

<% Response.Write("asp.net works");%>

Save the file and then try browsing to it to see if it works

I'm not at computer right now but ...
For the moment ...
Create a new folder in the root of your drive
C:\wwwDNN
Create a sub folder c:\wwwDNN\website
Unpack install.zip into that folder

For the moment ... Bypass the permissions issues by setting the security permission on the website folder to everyone

Open iis
Create a new website
Set the bindings to wwwDNN.local
Point the physical path to the website folder
Make sure the app pool is 4.0 integrated
Make sure default.aspx is the default document
Edit your hosts file and add wwwDNN.local 127.0.0.1
Browse to wwwDNN.local

Failing all that ... Just for laughs ... Can you actually browse to the default root hosting ... Before dnn is installed ... What happens when you browse to local host.

Beyond that ... Can you setup up your server terminal services ... I'd be happy to log in and have a look
