Got it allready. Thanks for your help!!

Any idea about what could have caused the problem? The skin I created was installed succesfully but looks corrupt anyway.

C'mon! It's not possible for me to guess what a valid skin on your site might be!

If you have Dark Knight installed try

?SkinSrc=Portals/_default/Skins/DarkKnight/2-Column-Left-Mega-Menu

I expect it to be painful because you will have to navigate several pages to get to the settings menu. Each time you'll have to add the parameter.

>>I have only selected a different skin? How can this cause so much misery?!
That's unfair. Whatever you uploaded and applied to the site clearly isn't valid as a skin. The simplest answer to *ALL* such problems is to recover the site from a backup. The simplest way to *AVOID* such problems is to test major surgery on a test copy of the site before you try it on the live version.

You're right in everything you say.

I have fixed it now, and was only worried that I'd damaged my site so badly doing only a small try-out thing.
I thought the error might be typical so experienced user would be able to see what went wrong.

I now have learned my Artisteer-version doesn't support DNN-export. So that's where my problem lies now :).
