After recently upgrading from 7.0.2 to 7.2.0, I have found that there is no file manager on the Admin > File Manager page of my site.  Looking in available extensions to add, I also do not see a "file manager" extension.  Anyone else seeing this issue?

Thanks

Mike

the file manager was replaced by the digital asset manager (DAM) - do you see that module? During upgrade any instances we found of the filemanager module are updated to use the digital asset manager, but perhaps you had an upgrade issue and this didn't happen - if so I would just add a DAM module to the relevant page(s)

Thanks, Cathol. That took care of my issue. (I added the DAM module to the old File Manager page.)

I've got the same problem and I've deleted the DAM on all pages...then added it back. I've got popup's enabled...I added
type="DotNetNuke.Framework.Providers.ProviderConfigurationHandler, DotNetNuke" />

&

to my web.config...until I modified the web.config I couldn't even get the file manager or digital asset management module to load...I would get an error on the page

Error: File Management is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. ---> System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.get_Item(TKey key) at DotNetNuke.Modules.DigitalAssets.View.OnItemDataBoundFolderTypeComboBox(Object sender, RadComboBoxItemEventArgs e) at Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.RaiseEvent(Object eventKey, RadComboBoxItemEventArgs e) at Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.OnItemDataBound(RadComboBoxItemEventArgs e) at Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.RaiseItemDataBound(ControlItem item) at Telerik.Web.UI.ControlItemContainer.Telerik.Web.UI.IItemContainer.RaiseItemDataBound(IItem item) at Telerik.Web.UI.ControlDataBinder.BindToEnumerableData(IEnumerable dataSource) at Telerik.Web.UI.ControlItemContainer.PerformDataBinding(IEnumerable data) at Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.PerformDataBinding(IEnumerable dataSource) at Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.OnDataSourceViewSelectCallback(IEnumerable data) at System.Web.UI.DataSourceView.Select(DataSourceSelectArguments arguments, DataSourceViewSelectCallback callback) at Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.OnDataBinding(EventArgs e) at Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.PerformSelect() at System.Web.UI.WebControls.BaseDataBoundControl.DataBind() at Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.DataBind() at DotNetNuke.Modules.DigitalAssets.View.InitializeFolderType() at DotNetNuke.Modules.DigitalAssets.View.OnLoad(EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I've even tried using all the newer skins to see if there was a conflict with an older skin object.

I continue to get the following error "an error occurred while loading the folder content"

The folders are all listed on the left and I've tried selecting individual folders but get the same error...

I've tried synching the folders...nothing happens.

Anyone been able to get this to work?

My portal has been upgraded multiple times...so my original version goes back to DNN 6.

Appreciate any help.

Terry

Terry, we have reports of occasional DAM failures when there are invalid entries in the folder structure -I don't know if this is what you're seeing, but I recommend logging the issue to support.dnnsoftware.com with as much detail as possible as your issue is different from the one previously resolved in this thread
