I am unable to access Admin > Site Settings on a single parent portal in my DNN install

I get this error:  A critical error has occurred. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I am also unable to edit roles for users. I get two duplicate errors:

Error: is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Security.SecurityRoles.grdUserRoles_ItemCreated(Object sender, DataGridItemEventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

 

I was using 7.1.2 and I upgraded to 7.2 with no change - still can't access

im not sure why you're seeing this -I can see some poor code in that method that uses an ordinal value, this has proved flaky in the past but when it fails then everyone gets the same issue -im not sure what that is specific to your site is causing the problem. Try opening DesktopModules\Admin\Security\SecurityRoles.ascx.cs and commenting out the line that begins "item.Cells[5].Visible" to see if that resolves it (no need to compile, just do an F5). If so, that would suggest that your layout is different from the normal one, and that usually is a skin related issue.

Same thing happening to me on a site upgraded from 7.2 to 7.3.2. Admin. 7.2 worked, 7.3.2 broke it.
