Are you sure you don't have host settings?  I haven't followed any of the GoDaddy threads, maybe they do have some kind of really unusual DNN installation process but in case you're not looking in the right place...  You'll need to log in as host (you won't see it if you're logged in as admin) and then a Host menu should appear next to or below Admin.  The first page under Host is Host Settings.  You'll find the checkbox on that page.

If you use GoDaddy's one-click install for DNN you do not have host access.  I would suggest looking at the post on how to do a manuall DNN install on GoDaddy so you get the full capabilities of DNN and total control over the sites you create.  Sorry I cannot be more specific, since I do not use GoDaddy and am just going on what I have read in the forums.

Thanks guys for your replies.  I decided to have the regular version professionally installed for godaddy.  I found a place that will do it for me.  It seems you run into too many problems with the godaddy install, because you do not have the appropriate access to add and delete what you want for your site.

Great, you might want to post the companies name who does this wiht an update on your experience if all goes well. That way others who use GoDaddy might also be interested in using this company to get DNN manually installed on GoDaddy so they have completed access to all the DNN features.

I used North Star Solutions.  There are instructions to install it yourself in the root, but it gets complicated.  I crashed my site after they put it up by trying to fix the broken search, and then reinstalled it last night took me like 8 hours.  But it is good to have total control of the site.  The directions for self install are here and the installation service is here.  They were very fast and had it up in less than a day.  If you are not technically savvy or just want it done fast, this would be the way to go.  The install costs $30 by Paypal, and is pretty cheap.   I did have to upgrade to a deluxe hosting account though.  It was $35 more.  I was just seeking the fast way out, but I have control.
