Hi friend(s),

I would like to include a .NET MVC-5 module in my dnn website. I have a simple MVC 5 web application with following file structure.  How can I make this project as module for dnn7? I expect step by step procedure.

Also if MVC 5 is not supported in dnn till, which highest version of MVC supported by DNN7?

Regards

DNN and MVC have not traditionally played that well together- both  use very different constructs and workflows and now that webapi is the core services module may be even less so - yes it has been possible to BUILD a MVC style module that could be made to function inside DNN but these tended to be new modules build from the ground up and designed specifically to be implemented as a DNN module.

However - have a look at https://dnnmvcbridge.codeplex.com/ its been in beta for a long time - but it does provide a framework that you may be able to back implement into your existing code - however i believe its only MVC4 - but its open source - so might at least give you some pointers in the right directions.

Also have a look at the series of posts from a couple of years back by Charles Nurse - starting with http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-....

The DnnMvcBridge I wrote is as about as stable as it can be, The only reason i left it in Beta is because I have not actually released a production module using it yet. In my Dev environment I have kicked it around quite a bit and it works well.

I recently updated it to MVC 5.1 via nuget with no issues.

Happy coding...
