I want to take my first steps into responsive design.

Therefore I want to create a module that is visible in my webpage on desktop, but invisible on a mobile device.

How can I do that?! I just have the free community edition.

there are lots of options - you can use mediaqueries to hide the module , you can use the built in site redirection support to redirect mobile clients (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/Community/... ) or you can use an approach such as http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-... to exclude certain content (rather than hide or redirect it)

Hi, I would look into using bootstrap as a foundation for your skin. There are built in classes for displaying or hiding based on the browser size. http://getbootstrap.com/css/#responsive-utilities

I'll wrap content with those, or create containers with those classes in there.

Hi

Bootstrap3 is possible but I made skinobject to handle this you can find it here. https://mobileskinhelper.codeplex.com/

This way it wont even load in page , with css you just hide the it but its still there
