Rodney Joyce posted an issue with not being able to post to the journal in DNN 7.1 which was supposed to be fixed in 7.1.2. I upgraded from 7.1 to 7.2 and have an issue where only admin and host users can post to the journal.  I did not see in any other posts that this was fixed.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

You help is appreciated!

Wish I could edit my posts :) While I am having issues with the journal and console, I thought I would explain how I am using social. I am not using the member directory for all users but only a subset filtered by a custom profile property. For groups, I do not have a social groups role. I created a number of separate global role groups for different types of groups. I am not sure what affect not having a social groups role might have or the impact on journal security. Again I am using dnn 7.2.1

anyone have any ideas on this.

FYI - I upgraded to DNN 7.2.1 from 7.2.0 and now the journal posting works for users. HOWEVER - now the console is broken and does not show any pages under the group activity page. uuuug

any ideas?

always a journey :)

Ok with 7.2.1 the journal posting issue is fixed. The console now requires that you have all pages checked include in menu in page settings. Didn't need to before. All set!
