I've been working with the RSS feeds a bit over the last few days partially because the e-mail notifications have been temporarily disabled, and also because I wanted to test out the RSS functionality of IE7.

I've noticed that when a new thread in the forums is created, it shows up in RSS, but when a reply is made, there is no indication of it in the feed.  This makes it difficult to keep up new posts in that I constantly have to browse to the threads and see if there is anything new.  This is especially difficult with older threads that don't show up on the RSS feed.  I'm also using the feed off of the blogs portion, and that appears to be a bit more useful in that it also shows the number of comments added to the blog entry, with a link to them.

I'm assuming this is by design (or maybe I have something setup wrong), but it seems to make the RSS feeds not quite practical for use.  What is the plan for this?  When IE7 is released, we're planning on pushing it out to everyone here so they can use the RSS feature...

I had the RSS working for a few days, but hadn't seen anything new in several days so I came back to the forums here and find them chock full of new posts.

When I went to check the RSS settings I find them gone also, is this because of the same issue that required the disabling of the notification e-mails?

We disabled RSS on here because there is a bug in them somewhere (I have yet to find locally) and it was throwing too many errors with them enabled.

Hi Chris,

I have just upgraded to DNN 4.3.3 and Forums 3.20.6 and I noticed hundreds of RSS Forum errors in my Log View - I assume it is the same problem?
I also keep reading about 3.20.7 and 3.20.8 - but the latest download is 3.20.6 - is this correct?

Shall I just disable the RSS feeds until further notice? (I can't get to Forum configuration due to an error so I am in a catch-22)
