Is it possible to set it up, so that when someone of one user group logs in, they are redirect to one particular page, and when someone else of a different user group logs in, they are redirected to a different page?

what version of dnn are you talking about.. For pre 3.3/4.3 versions, there are commercial solutions available, DNN 3.3.x/4.3.x has some basic functionality.. i dont know if there are solutions already that work with dnn 3.3.x/4.3.x

AFAIK you can only redirect to one page, not to different pages based on userrole. I'm not aware of any modules that can do that, but i'm sure there are some floating around that can do that. It would not be hard to create a module that lets you redirect to different pages based on role...
