Hi all,

There is Definetly a timeout issue ( or the fact that DNN takes way too long to install ) when doing a clean Install of DNN 04.03.01. Myself and others have confirmed this ..

I have done many installs of previous versions of DNN so this is not an issue of installing incorrectly.

The only way I can get the latest DNN to install is to

Firstly remove all the modules from the install directory.

Install DNN

Then copy The modules back into the install directory

Run install again using the perameters install.aspx?mode=InstallResources.

I had to do this twice to get all Modules to install.( and even then some are missing )

Furthemore...My server is not hosted externally . I am sitting at the machine so its not a slow network that is causing this.

Can someone look into this ? Do I need to set a longer timeout in asp.net  perameters

Ray..

There is a bunch of us having this issue but it doesn't seem like anyone from DNN wants to acknowledge it. I had the same problem. It shows a ThreadAbort error but I did the same, deleted all the modules, it installed fine, then installed the modules one by one. Huge pain.

Wish someone would look into this and release an updated version thats fixed!
