I don't know of any templates I'm afraid, it is configurable and also's custom html and the user of tokens (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/...), but it depends on your requirement (you might find something at http://store.dnnsoftware.com/home/pro... that suits)

I need a template then or else any module is not going to work for me and I can't find anything on how the modules want the templates to be used and created. Hard to believe everyone is using the ugly default look.

The module has a template mode that says

"Template Mode allows you to define the layout of your profile property display using HTML and embedded tokens. Tokens are replaced with User Profile Property values using the token format: [User:Property_Name], for example: [User:LastName]"

It has a Header Template and Row Template. Is there any guides on how to do this?

or can someone help me with something basic like showing first name and last name and ordering by first name?

Thanks in advance

you should find a list of Tokens in the Wiki, however, besides [User:DisplayName], [User:Email], all other tokens you Need should look like [Profile:FirstName] and [Profile:LastName], using property names as listed in Admin > Site Settings. You may add Format instructions like [Profile:Birthday|'dd.mm.yyyy] or provide an alternate text for Null value: [Profile:FirstName|Dear {0}|Welcome Guest User]. HTH
