Hey, I have DNN 7.2.0 setup on my local machine and I can get the SMTP email to work no problem... I then setup DNN 7.2.1 (latest) on my webserver, but every time I enter anything in for the SMTP settings and press Test I get this error on the top:

There has been an error trying to send the test email. The error is:
There is a problem with the configuration of your SMTP Server. Mail was not sent.

and this in the log:

2014-02-14 11:26:53,985 [*****][Thread:32][ERROR] DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions - System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: Failure sending mail. ---> System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond *****:25

No matter if I try and internal or external SMTP address, or the same as I had setup on the local machine, I cannot get it to work... I know my web server can send email because there is a form on a different website that works fine... I tried using the smtp info on this .aspx.vb page and it sends fine. I just cannot get it working in DNN... Any ideas???

Tried to delete but could not see how to... I determined after it was the web server not being able to reach the smtp server. The code for emailing in the other site was bypassed and no one told me. Anyways, hopefully this will get fixed up soon as soemone fixes the issue ion the rules of the router for me.

thanks
