Hi

We are looking for a really flexible module which can extend the Google sitemap functionality in DNN.

Ideally we'd be able to create an XML sitemap which includes all assets (such as videos, images) and potentially news articles (to meet Google news guidelines).

And we've got a mobile site (unfortunately not on DNN) so anything that can reference the mobile site and mobile sitemap would be a bonus.

I've searched Google and the DNN Store but nothing has really leapt out so I was wondering if there's anything that ticks some of these boxes that people could recommend?

Thanks

DNN does already include sitemap generation, which is extensible by sitemap providers for blogs and other modules, have a look into dnnsoftware.com/wiki

This sort of thing is doable in dnn - but tends to be custom built based on your specific needs.

What you would need to look at building was a custom sitemap provider.

Basically a small block of code that you register on a dnn site - that does the stuff you are talking about.

Whenever someone goes to your site after that and targets  /sitemap.aspx  - what would happen is that would call the system sitemap first - and then fire off your custom provider to pull in whatever other links you would like to display.

 Hi Sebastian.

We are using version 5.6.3.  I’ve read the sitemap wiki and was able to generate the SiteMap.aspx page, however it displays this in an xml format.  I expected the sitemap to be displayed as a matching pair of page links and descriptions.  Is there a means of converting this to a more useable format?

Thanks.

David
