All modules that i have used sofar do not themselves support true multiligual localization. So I enabled Language specific pages and localized them myself. The issue is one which, as far as i can see, rests with the manner in which DNN swiches between languages. It does not use the active page and maintain any parameters before it switches to the page for the different language. I'm trying to find out if there is any support which would enable a module to maintain such parameters when the switch is made. Right now, switching can only be done when a page which has no parameters is active.

check page Setting, maybe it is created as "neutral page" or created in a single (non-default) language only

Hi,

Check your portal alias in site settings.

And check if you have one alias for each language + a neutral alias.

And each language alias have to end with de language (exemple : www.mysite.com/fr-fr) .

Not sure that i know exactly how to tell the difference. The page settings show that there are two pages, one in English, one in Dutch. They have separate modules because each page (in this example) has two modules which have no localization support and therefore separate instances of them had to be created. What happens is the following:

English: page http://...../Donations/tabid/95/langu... is opened

Language is changed to Dutch: page http://..../Donaties/tabid/116/langua... is displayed which is the same page translated to Dutch, but note that the "?donorID=53" parameter is omitted and the page faults as a result.

If the English flag is then activated again the original page is again displayed but the "?donorID=53" parameter is omitted.

I don't know if this is something I did wrong or if this is a limitation of DNN that allows changing from one language to another but does not maintain the original page calling parameters. In the latter case, i would like to know if there is a way to prevent a user from changing languages when certain pages (like the one illustrated) are active.

Not sure i understand your advise. Why would i need multiple aliases for the website?
