FYI regarding promoting "good" modules, the store team have just launched their blog at http://store.dnnsoftware.com/blog . They have posts planned that cover reviews, the Watch List, DNN resources, and modules under $50 and also have vendors who are interested in contributing.

Right....... Run by DNNCorp staff, contributed by Vendors....   That's a real honest approach.

How about I write something for your readers and give them some facts from a user perspective, with out financial motivation about the real world of buying modules, and I can tell you if it were me, many of those top modules and skins would never see the light of day.. .. ..  Let me check my email for your invitation.. :-)

Good grief, I must restrain from answering on the forums today because my sarcasm filter just ain't working and it's unfair because I know Cathal, you really do make an effort and try to make a difference in keeping the community informed..  I think the information people give you stories that are nothing short of hilarious to take seriously.

Yep.. I'm in one of those moods.. thank the Lord for husband who loves me.. because no one else would.. at least not here.  :-)

@Wes.. I don't think a fork of the DNN core will ever happen. That's a huge undertaking. Personally I think the corp is doing some good work in DNN itself. I look around and the DNN volunteer developers can't even sit together and work on a small module. Lots of previous modules (ones which used to be bundled with DotNetNuke) have been abandoned. Last updates of many month old. The biggest recent community DNN related work is the dnn-connect.org site and that's what.. 3 developers?

When people they a DNN fork do they mean a separate different core? I don't think any module and skin developer wants to develop for different forks of DNN. Between DNN v5 and 6 and 7, that's already a headache in itself.
