I am experiencing a strange problem...

I am using jQuery Tabs and Autocomplete in a module.

When I logon as Admin/Host everything works fine.

When I logon as a Registered User, jquery-ui.min.js is not loaded in the page.

I tried to enabled hosted versions of jQ, same problem.

Any ideas?

Ok, I found something.

In default.aspx.cs, there is this line:

jQuery.RegisterJQueryUI(Page)

However, it is inside an IF statement (if (PortalSettings.EnablePopUps)) which returns false for me (I changed the setting)

So, there are two things here:

1. If someone disables Portal Popups, jQueryUI is not loaded

2. When reviewing this line (jQuery.RegisterJQueryUI(Page)) it says "It is obsolete, since jQueryUI loads automatically", somethings that is NOT happening. Maybe a bug?

if your module is using jqueryui you need to register it within your module (multiple modules can register different things, by registering them DNN ensures only 1 copy of the relevant script is loaded. See http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/... for how to register. Note: this api has been recently obsoleted, if you are targeting 7.1.0 or higher you're recommened to use JavaScript.RequestRegistration(CommonJs.jQueryUI) in your module.
