Does anyone have a tutorial or link for Banner  DNN7.2?

I have just purchased a site and the host installed DNN 7.2.  So, I am trying to create a new Home page.  I am having problems creating a Banner (not advertising) just as in the sample, and failing miserably.  It seems to me that the original page somehow inserts the Banner into an HTML module, but that is a guess.  I can add the Banner, but then cant manage it.  On the original page, I removed the images, replaced then with my own.  I could find no way to increase the time span between slider images.  They go by to fast to read the information on them.  Seems to me that should be an option in settings.

So, I got a Slider from the DNN store.  It works, but unfortunately, it does not resize when browser size changes.

I have looked and have only found help for Pay for modules, or DNN6.x, or whatever. Nothing that helped.

Obviously, I am totally new to this.

Thx

if you mean the built in banner functionality, the manual covers that (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community/... -or else read it online at http://www.dnnsoftware.com/help#searc... ). However the banner functionality is old and doesn't support sliders, so I'm guessing youre talking about something else - if so the answer will be specific to the particular slider you use, so we would need to know that. Note: the wiki has a decent page on content sliders (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/... ), including links to popular free options - dreamslider is particularly popular as it was once a popular commercial product that is now free

Thank you for the reply.

I was just using Banners, the one that was on the default install page, and already installed as module. Now I am trying something else (Content Slider). It is not resizing. That's ok, its apparently still under development.

I will try the things you suggested.

I typically try to stay with out of box options, at least at first. I have found that I have less trouble with licenses, upgrades, etc. a few years later. Not to mention that it saves costs. I am a out of home guy paying for the extras on a single site, using Community version.

Thank you once more
