Working with Will Strohl's Content Slider in DNN 7.2.2.

It runs correctly if I use a Fade transition, but fails with any other transition (slides never change).

Developer Tools console reports:

JQMIGRATE: jQuery.browser is deprecated

LOG: [cycle] unknown transition: none ; slideshow terminating

Any suggestions?

seems like it uses some script that is no longer compatible with jquery 1.9.1 or higher https://dnncontentslider.codeplex.com... . Taking a look at the code I suspect that the jquery.browser (http://jquery.com/upgrade-guide/1.9/#...) is likely to be the issue as that function is removed in jquery 1.9.1 but Will makes extensive use of it e.g. https://dnncontentslider.codeplex.com...

Ultimately, I determined it was the skin that was causing the problem.
