Will the process work the same  for the Community Version as it does in Chris Hammond's Video?

yes, upgrades are a standard process of using an upgrade package and overwriting the site - it's always a good idea to check http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/... first in case you are jumping a lot of versions i.e. you may need new prerequisites such as .net 4.0 (or higher) and sql 2008 (or higher). Note: always do a backup of both data and files before attempting an upgrade (and where possible test an upgrade in a test environment before trying a product upgrade)
