i have a primary control in my module and want to link to a second ascx control from the first one and back again. I know I can make a full .aspx page and link directly to it in the /desktopModules/...
but is there a proper way to do it without making a full path to the desktopModules?

within your module, you may navigate between the controls - not sure, what you are trying to achive, can you be please more explicit about your use case, thank you.

exactly, how do you navigate to a 2ndary control and back?

I want a link on my primary control to the 2nd one and on the 2nd one a link back. since my control can be anywhere in the site I cannot easily do this.

1st module - listing
2nd module - details of each item

EditUrl will return the URL that invokes the secondary control.

The primary control is the one with no key.

Then use Response.Redirect to go there.

It's a bit old, but check out this article http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNu...

I have tried several variations of these 2 redirects
Response.Redirect(DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.NavigateURL("ViewFull", "mid=" + ModuleId.ToString()), true);

Response.Redirect(this.EditUrl(this.TabId, "ViewFull", false, "mid=" + ModuleId.ToString()));

the module control is registered in the extensions under type=view

I check a settings and if I want to stay on first module it works fine. if I redirect to the 2nd module then the page shows with no module in the middle where it should be.
