Greetings,

I have around 200+ .aspx pages which I need to integrate with my DNN site. These pages are very crucial and is there any way how I could integrate these pages into my DNN site. I saw an option called 'Import Page' option, but I'm unsure as to how it should be used.

"Import page" is requiring xml files created by "export page", using a DNN format - i.e. this is not an option for you.
Some content might be easy to integrate using copy & paste into HTML module, some other content might be integrated using iframe module.
For the rest, you will need to convert the pages into DNN module(s).

Cheers from Germany,

About the only direct way to access them would be using some form of iframe type system - where the pages are loaded as true aspx but from inside dnn itself.

The second option - which might get close would be to look at making use of a system like razor host to load the pages ... its still a bit like iframe but closer to the dnn bone.

But i guess the bigger issue is - whats on these pages is it complex navigation and menus and link etc - these would not be under dnn control.

If its JUST the content then maybe an cut and past conversion would be while a little time consuming the most effective it you want to get the true value of dnns features and cabilities into the mix

The problem is these pages are created on the fly. There's only a single master page and two other sub pages differing in the presentation that form the heart of these pages. Their contents are fetched from the DataBase. What do I do?

Greetings Leupold,

I didn't grasp the last part of your reply, converting the pages into DNN modules? Won't this be in contradiction to what DNN Modules exactly stand for. As far as my understanding goes, DNN Modules are designed to be standalone functions that are generic, for example forms module, which lets us design a form on any page specific to our needs by dynamically specifying the controls say text box. What I mean is, DNN Modules are sort of an IDE unto themselves where generically, we can design/customize. Specific pages, if converted like you suggesed, won't it contrast the very idea of DNN Modules, then?

Please help me in getting a clarity on this. Looking forward to your reply, eagerly.

Shwetha
